A Thought for the Week
"Feeling abundant surpasses the money in your bank account and transcends what others may think of you. Genuinely feeling abundant and successful is possible when you detach yourself from the things you desire and allow them to flow to you - and through you." ~ Wayne Dyer
"When you have too much month for your paycheck, then what you need to do is realize that there is abundance all around you, and focus on the abundance and not your lack, and as night follows day abundance will come to you." ~ Sidney Madwed
"Prosperity is a way of living and thinking, and not just money or things. Poverty is a way of living and thinking, and not just a lack of money or things." ~ Eric Butterworth
Hi Hilda,
You know, when I stopped being afraid to lose money and spend money, I suddenly noticed that I had enough all along. "Not enough" is just a habit of thinking, and not a fact of circumstance.

Love these quotes -- and the title of your post is great too. It totally sucked me in. :)

Thumbs up to Wayne Dyer's tip on being detached! When we are emotionally attached to the things we want, we are craving. Craving has the energy of lack and scarcity. It's far better to focus on a sense of gratitude for what we already have. We are abundant in more ways than one.

Hi David,
I know what you mean. I definitely went through a period in my life like that too. Lookking back it was like a seesaw: there was a time when I was cash poor but time rich and didn't appreciate the wonderful abundance I had in my life because I was focussed on how little money I had. And then I went to having plenty of money and not enough time . . . Now I look for balance and appreciate all the abundance in my life, not just money. And since I've shifted to this perspective I find over and over that whatever I need is always delivered to me : )
Hi Dani,
Thanks for your comment, I'm so glad you liked them. Usually when I post these quotes I have one or two favourites, but I like all three of these equally : )
Hi Evelyn,
You're so right! Being attached to having things just the way we want them to be interferes with our ability to be satisfied with what we've got right now. And not being grateful resists abundance - the lack of abundance lies in the *not noticing* it rather than any material lack. It's so important to notice and appreciate what we have instead of being hung up on what we don't have.
