A Thought for the Week

"The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination." ~ Don Williams Jr
"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." ~ Ursula K LeGuin
"Success is not a place at which one arrives but rather the spirit with which one undertakes and continues the journey." ~ Alex Noble |

Focusing on the journey is such an important part of living in the moment. Great quotes! :)

Thanks Dani, you're right of course! If we want to stay grounded in the present moment, we have to put our attention more on the journey than on the destination. No sweat for you on that front, though ;-)

I really like the first quote for the meaning it has in my life right now. Lots of twists and turns. The last quote reminds me, though, in no uncertain terms, to persevere and measure success by that perseverance. There are certainly times when I've wanted to give up, and the fact that I didn't equal success in my mind.

Hi Megan,
I think it's great that you persevere with your dreams. I wish you every success in achieving them, but if you flow with the twists and turns along the way, instead of insisting on a direct route to where you're going, you'll enjoy the journey so much, that getting there in the end will be a bonus ;-)
