About Me

  • My name is Hilda Carroll and I am a life coach who passionately believes in the ability for all of us to be happy right now, even if right now life is kinda rough! My mission is to help people realise that happiness is an inner state, completely non-reliant on external circumstances, and to help them learn to live joyfully in the present moment (because now is all we really have).

Hilda,
I happen to believe that things happen for a reason, some of which we don't always see at the time which they are happening at. And still, I also think it's so good to listen to your heart. And from what I'm reading here, I feel that you're heart is speaking (which is such a wonderful place to be, although not always easy). Hilda, I feel you're in such a good place (mentally and spiritually) right now, and the physical place will happen - the one that's right for you. I believe that very much...and I believe deeply in what you're doing and how good it is.

My gosh, what a phenomenally insightful and inspirational writer you are. You are living your spirituality RIGHT OUT LOUD, as I like to say, and I'm in awe. These words stopped me: "Maybe what I want isn't what I need right now..." I, too, need to embrace that sentiment in areas of my life presently, and reading this post has helped me. In you, I saw myself.

Hilda, thank you so much for writing about this and encouraging me to follow in your footsteps, letting the Universe do what it does best. I've only ever been joyously surprised by the choices it makes on my behalf.

And as you said with regard to your own situation, you don't know what you don't know yet... There's a reason plans shifted. You're being called to expend energy in another way, time, or place right now. What a glorious thought!
Lots of love and encouragement to you.

And of course, thank you for the link love. (smile)

Walter

Life is trial and error and there are things that are not meant to be. The important thing is to evolve rather than wallow in misery and regret. Life has many opportunities, we don't to necessarily stick into one. :-)

Hilda

Thanks Lance,

I too believe that everything happens for a reason. I look forward to knowing in due course why that house fell through for me. I know that when the reason becomes evident to me, I will be glad that it happened :-)

Hi Megan,

Thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it : )

I actually wrote that post this day last week, and since loosening my grip on the whole idea, lots more house options have opened up for me! I'm heading west again tomorrow to view half a dozen (and maybe more!) places. But this time I'm not attached. Let's see what happens...

It's a much more peaceful place to be in than trying to control everything. I wish you the same peace in following your own dreams :-) I don't think we necessarily have to give up the dream, as long as we remain open to how, when - but also "if" - it will manifest for us.

Hi Walter,

Life does indeed have many opportunities, and I'm happy to say I'm more open to this one not working out. Still hopeful it will, mind you ;-) - but definitely more and more ok with winding up with a different outcome.

Hi Hilda,
I've found you thru Lance - see you commenting there and other places I visit. I'm excited for you on your new journey and want to follow along.

Hilda, you've overcome (already!) the part that most people struggle with ---- that is knowing exactly what we want! Your vision is strong, your heart is determined and it all feels right. Your attitude is fantastic and I have no doubt the house will turn up in exactly the right timing for you!

Hilda

Hi Suzen,

Thanks so much for coming over to visit and for your encouraging comment. I'm delighted you want to follow along and will let you know how things progress :-)
