A Thought for the Week
"The best things in life come in threes, like friends, dreams, and memories." ~ Unknown
"A hug is a great gift - one size fits all, and it's easy to exchange." ~ Unknown
"The best things in life are nearest: breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet." ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
"Joy is not in things; it is in us." ~ Richard Wagner

That last quote is one I really love, Hilda. Have I been pulled in by buying more things in the past, only to find that those things don't buy me happiness? Sure I have. And it's helped me realize that it's not the things that matter. It's how I feel, deeply, that matters. So, this quote by Richard Wagner just really shines for me. Awesome!!

LOVE these quotes. They are so uplifting! :) Happiness is within us, not in things we buy or see or do.

Great quotes and reminders of what we should value in life. Things are just that - things. They are nice to have but they don't make us who we are. No matter how much or how little we have, we need to be reminded of these points.

Hi Carla,
Thanks for your comment - I'm totally on board with your point of view ;-) The happiness we get from material possessions is always fleeting - true happiness is a state of being and has nothing to do with material circumstances.
