About Me

  • My name is Hilda Carroll and I am a life coach who passionately believes in the ability for all of us to be happy right now, even if right now life is kinda rough! My mission is to help people realise that happiness is an inner state, completely non-reliant on external circumstances, and to help them learn to live joyfully in the present moment (because now is all we really have).

Positively Present

All of these are GREAT. I'm going to work on all three of these D's today. Thanks for writing about them because they are such important topics and, in doing them, we can make our lives much better.

Hi Hilda,
I'm really drawn to "deliberately create your day". I love the idea of envisioning our day. While that doesn't mean things won't come up (they will) - we're setting ourselves up for the kind of day we desire. And that sounds pretty nice! I've done this in the past...and then dropped it (even though it gave me a boost doing it). So, you're reminding me, today, that I can do this - and deliberately create the day I want!

Awesome stuff Hilda!

Hi Danni,

I recommend starting with deliberately creating your day - it's really quite simple - and maybe a sock drawer ;-)

Hi Lance,

I go through phases of deliberately creating my day too, and I really don't know why I don't do it all the time! I suppose I get a bit complacent when things are going well ;-) I agree, things still do come up that I'd prefer not to have to deal with, but when I've started the day holding the intention to be able to handle anything that happens, what could turn out to be a big drama on a less conscious day never does on a conscious one!

Daphne @ Joyful Days

Hi Hilda,

I just saw this post as I've been away from the internet for a month or so. Thanks for the link!

Like Lance, I love the idea of deliberately creating your day. So many of us just launch into our day without thinking much about how we want it to go. I'm going to start creating my day now!

You're welcome Daphne, it's good to have you back in the blogosphere : ) And a timely reminder for me to get working on E is for...
