Hi Hilda,
The term "let go and let God" is one that I find very comforting, and have repeated to myself several times. It feels like we're saying to that Higher Power, that we trust and believe. And there is a peace that can come from that.
I love the second quote here today. Not easy...letting go of what we have today, for going after what the future holds. Yet if we really want to live out our innermost wants, then that probably does mean letting go of some things in our life to get to this new spot. It's so easy to say as I write that out (why can't it be that easy to actually do!!)
Thanks Hilda, I enjoy these quotes you share very much!

Hi Hilda,
Great quotes. I specially love the 3rd one. It describes life in a nice manner. "each turn in the road reveals a surprise". Yes of course. That's where beauty lies. Otherwise life would have been a boring one.

Ah Lance, you've hit the nail on the head! So easy to get something intellectually and another thing entirely to live it!!
But whenever we want to invite something new into our life we do have to make room for it. That doesn't mean we have to let go of the stuff we continue to enjoy - let go of some of the other stuff instead. Let go of the "shoulds" - sometimes it's harder to let go of what doesn't nourish our souls because of some sense of guilt, but "shoulds" are bad for us at every level. And nature abhors a vacuum. So let go of what's not serving you well now, and keep what does serve you. And then you still have room for more great experiences ;-)
Hi Vikum,
Welcome and thank you for your comment! I couldn't agree more with you. Instead of meticulously planning each and every step, and getting frustrated when it all doesn't work out according to plan, we can open ourselves up to so many wonderful opportunities. I don't always easily allow things to unfold as they will, but when I do I never fail to be delighted by stuff I could never have imagined doing beforehand.

Hi Hilda,
I don't know why after all this time I still try and maintain a stranglehold on how things turn out in my life. There isn't enough power or talent in the whole world (let alone in me) to make things turn out exactly like I want. Thanks for reminding me just to chill out and watch it unfold.
It's saturday morning, I'm off to go watch my laundry unfold

Hi David,
I also need to remind myself quite frequently to let go too. When I do life is so much easier : )
